Joseph Berardo, Jr.

President

Joe Berardo has been the President of MagnaCare since June of 2005. In this capacity, Joe is responsible for the strategic management of MagnaCare's Sales, Account Management, Marketing Communications, New Product Development, Operations, Medical Management, Medical Delivery, and Human Resource functions. Prior to assuming this role, Joe served at the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chief Sales Officer since he joined MagnaCare in January of 2003. Joe started his career in healthcare delivery with U.S. Healthcare. He left to join the Mount Sinai Health System and subsequently joined Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, where he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Sales Officer, President, EHC Benefits Agency and President, Empire Healthcare New Jersey. 

Recognized by Crain's New York Business magazine in January 2000 as one of the Top 40 Executives in New York under the age of 40 (40 under 40), he then went on to serve as President of Special Risk International. In January of 2001, Joe joined Multiplan, Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
